The interactive exhibits offer hands-on learning experiences, enabling all those present to engage with astronomy in a way that is both educational and enjoyable.

3D Space Theater offers an exciting, visually-rich experience that brings science and space exploration closer. Equipped with high-quality 3D projectors and special glasses, it screens space-themed 3D movies. The films explore themes like the history of space travel, journey to Mars, and humanity’s quest to reach distant planets.

Space Capsule Simulator is one of the most exciting attractions at Patna Planetarium. This simulator recreates the experience of being an astronaut in a spacecraft, giving participants a taste of space travel. It simulates takeoff, orbit, and reentry, allowing users to experience the thrilling sensations of spaceflight. With realistic visuals and sounds, the Space Capsule Simulator offers a close approximation of what it’s like to be in space, from floating in zero gravity to seeing Earth from above. It’s a popular spot for visitors who dream of becoming astronauts or simply want to experience the adventure of space.

Have you ever seen fallen rocks of the universe? Patna Planetarium is home to a collection of meteorites and space rocks, which gives space enthusiasts an opportunity to see materials from outer space. These meteorites from asteroids or even other planets, offer a tangible connection to the larger universe. The collection is accompanied with information on meteorite formation, their significance in planetary science, and how they help scientists learn about the early solar system. Visitors, especially those interested in geology and space science, find this exhibit fascinating as it brings a piece of the cosmos on earth.

Patna Planetarium conducts regular sky watching events, where people can observe the night sky using telescopes. These programs are organized on special astronomical occasions, like meteor showers, eclipses, and planetary alignments. Sky watching sessions offer people an opportunity to see planets, stars, and distant galaxies up close and to learn from expert guides who explain the constellations and celestial events in real time. During these programs, visitors gain hands-on experience with telescopes and other astronomy equipment, making it a thrilling and educational experience, especially for amateur astronomers and budding stargazers.

Solar observation is another unique attraction at Patna Planetarium, where visitors can safely observe the Sun using specialized solar filters and telescopes. Guided by experts, these sessions allow visitors to see solar phenomena like sunspots, solar flares, and the corona. Sessions are conducted with adequate eye safety measures from harmful solar radiation. Solar observation provides a closer insight into solar science, including how the Sun influences life on Earth and affects space weather.
