NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SCIENCE MUSEUMS
National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous body under Ministry of Culture, Government of India administers 26 science museums and 7 national level science centres across India with the objective of popularizing science education among students and fostering innovation. That apart, NSCM develops science museums on behalf of different organizations in India and abroad.
Many of these museums have innovation hubs that comprises innovation resource centers, idea lab and design studio, where students can explore new possibilities.
The national science centres include – Science City, Kolkata, Birla Industrial & Technological Museum, Kolkata, Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bangalore. National Science Centre, New Delhi, National Science Centre, Guwahati, Central Research & Training Laboratory, Kolkata.
